Selection Criteria

The Fund is considered one of the lower cost options given its diversified underlying holdings, which provides broad exposure to the global equity market and Asian bond market. It is a fund-of-funds structure that consists of 8 underlying funds, including 5 actively managed equity and bond funds by Lion Global Investors, and 3 passive equity ETFs. The Fund maintains a consistent 70% / 30% allocation to equity and bond respectively.

There is a significant structural underweight of US equities, and overweight of Asian and European equities and Asian bonds as a result of the Fund’s allocation methodology. The Fund uses GDP weighting, rather than market capitalisation weighting, in its equity allocation. Its bond allocation is also heavily tilted to the Asia/Singapore market. The Fund utilises an active approach to asset allocation, although its geographic allocations have not shifted dramatically in the past. Investors should take note and make investment decisions with full knowledge of these unique characteristics of the Fund.
