Product

Provides low-cost exposure to over 300 short-term government and investment-grade corporate bonds in developed markets via a systematic and factor-based approach. Has a maximum duration of five years.

Performance

Expected to exhibit some tracking error relative to its benchmark, FTSE World Government Bond 1-5 Years Index. Target to deliver some outperformance over a complete market cycle above benchmark through its systematic process of increasing credit allocation when credit spread widens and increasing duration when yield curve steepens.

Process

The Fund always targets fixed income segments with higher expected return, emphasising more attractive parts of the fixed income market relative to the benchmark based on the information derived from securities' current term and credit spreads. Empirical academic research has shown that term spread and credit spread are persistent drivers of bond's future expected return. Has a robust daily portfolio management process to ensure efficient trading and to keep the strategies consistently focused on the premiums they are intended to capture.
