Offers investors exposure to dividend paying companies in the Asia Pacific Region.These companies are supported by strong balance sheets and have historically exhibited the greatest growth in dividends relative to other markets.

People

Managed by Jochen Breuer since November 2020. Despite having only joined recently, Jochen has an established track record in managing dividend strategies as exemplified by the stellar performance of a UK-domiciled fund equivalent that he managed.He is further supported by a deep bench of 53 analysts located across Asia, with a coverage of nearly 1,000 Asia Pacific companies.

Has historically been top tier across both performance and risk metrics relative to asian income funds offered in Hong Kong, as well as its benchmarkHas also consistently delivered a running yield greater than benchmark yield and its distribution yieldExpected to outperform during periods of turbulence where markets are focused on the quality of the business, but may face challenges in exuberant markets where high growth and momentum stocks are preferred.

Process

Emphasises a “pure dividend mindset” and will automatically filter out stocks with less than 2% dividend yield.Focuses on valuation and quality – in particular dividend yield and earnings persistence. Resultantly, the fund features a tilt towards these value and quality factors, as well as . overweight allocations to traditional defensive sectors such as Utilities, Consumer Staples, Telecoms and Health Care, relative to the benchmark.The above, coupled with its robust risk management and a good downside control, has worked well for the fund as evidenced by its stellar performance.
