Offers a diversified portfolio of investment grade global corporate credit instruments. The objective of the Fund is to maximise total return, consistent with preservation of capital and prudent investment management.
Managed by PIMCO, one of the world's largest fixed income managers with over US$2 trillion in assets under management. The strategy is led by Mohit Mittal, Jelle Brons, Saurabh Sud and Amit Arora who collectively possess over 80 years of investment experience. The portfolio management team benefits from PIMCO's extensive global platform, including a vast network of credit research analysts, risk managers, and the firm's Investment Committee.
From an absolute return perspective, stable to declining yields would be a favourable environment for the fund's performance. Conversely periods of rising yields would be an unfavorable environment. On a relative to index or market basis, we expect PIMCO's time-tested investment process would add value over a complete credit cycle. Fund has outperformed the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Credit Index, since inception on a net-of-fees basis.
Combining PIMCO's signature long-term secular outlook with bottom-up credit research, the Fund operates on a robust and disciplined investment process that allows it to take advantage of opportunities as they arise in various regions, industries, and issuers. Credit research is focused on identifying issuers which exhibit improving credit profiles and the potential for upgrades by the rating agencies and, therefore, greater capital appreciation potential. Credit research process is complemented with the ongoing and integrated risk management process at PIMCO, ensuring all portfolio risks are managed based on Investment Committee guidance and sound risk management principles, which include issuer and industry diversification.
