The fund is managed by seven portfolio managers, co-led by Andy Suen and Omar Slim as Co-Heads of Asia Fixed Income. Together, both combined complementary expertise in fundamental credit research and portfolio management. Andy has over 18 years of experience in Asian credit, having built his career in credit research, his extensive bottom-up credit expertise is complemented by Omar’s portfolio management experience across global and Asian fixed income markets.

The portfolio managers are supported by a team of over 15 research analysts and a few traders, with sector and country-based coverage. A unified research platform across both investment grade and high yield strategies enables relative value opportunities across the full credit spectrum.

The Fund does not have an official target return. Instead, it aims to outperform its benchmark by approximately 200bps, a target it has achieved since inception on a net of fees basis.

On a net-of-fees annualised basis, the Fund has consistently ranked in the top half of its Morningstar peer group across all available trailing periods (YTD, 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year) since inception.

Materially better downside protection in stress periods: the fund fell ~5% in 2022 vs ~15% for the benchmark.

Top-down macro views are combined with bottom-up, research-intensive security selection via the Fundamentals / Valuations / Technicals (FVT) framework and a proprietary 1 (highly undervalued) to 5 (highly overvalued) Relative Value Ranking (RVR).

No defaults in its history, reflecting a discipline of exiting distressed credits ahead of default rather than holding through them. Distressed or higher-risk names are managed through a dedicated "Intensive Care" review (assessing default probability, catalysts, and fundamental fair value) and a Fallen Angel Probability framework that flags implied downgrade risk ahead of formal rating action.

Portfolio construction follows a three-tier conviction framework — Strategic Conviction (50–70% of market value), Diversifiers (20–30%), and Tactical RV/Credit (0–10%).
