About the speakers
Michelle Wong, Client Portfolio Manager, Public Fixed Income Investments and Multi-Asst Group, Barings
Michelle is a Client Portfolio Manager on Barings’ Public Fixed Income Investments Platform and the Multi Asset Group, responsible for delivering comprehensive investment solutions and driving strategic initiatives in the Asia Pacific region. Michelle is also involved in the communication of Barings’ public fixed income investment capabilities as well as multi asset solution to existing clients and new prospects. Michelle has worked in the industry since 2020. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at Amundi Asset Management where she was responsible for serving institutional investors in Hong Kong and Macau.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Master of Science in International Business from Cass Business School. She has also earned the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing. Michelle is proficient in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
Joseph Wong, Senior Director, Head of Wealth Distribution, Hong Kong & Singapore, Barings
Joseph Wong is a member of Barings’ Global Business Development Group and serves as Head of Wealth Distribution, Hong Kong & Singapore based in Hong Kong. Joseph is responsible for driving business development efforts in the wealth channel and further strengthening relationships with key investors in the two regions. He has worked in the industry since 2000. Prior to joining Barings, Joseph was Head of Intermediary Distribution, Hong Kong & Singapore at M&G Investments, responsible for spearheading the intermediary business development across retail and private wealth segments. Prior to that, Joseph was Vice President at Franklin Templeton for more than a decade, responsible for the wholesale business development in Greater China. His career also includes various senior roles in Superfund, AIA, Bank of China (Hong Kong) and Shanghai Commercial Bank.
Joseph holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Marketing from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Laws from Manchester Metropolitan University. He is a CFA Charterholder and FRM Certified Professional. He is also a committee member of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association Unit Trust Sub-committee. Joseph is fluent in Cantonese, Putonghua and English.
Edwin Ho, Senior Client Advisor, Endowus
Edwin Ho is a Senior Client Advisor at Endowus.
Prior to this role, he was a Fixed Income Product Specialist at DWS Group (formerly Deutsche Asset Management), and Investment Counsellor in HSBC Private Bank where he provided investment advisory service to high net worth clients.
Edwin graduated from The University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Economics and Finance. He is charterholders of CFA and CAIA.
Janet Hung, Head of Client Advisory HK, Endowus
Janet is the Head of Client Advisory HK at Endowus.
Before joining Endowus, Janet was In various senior institutional roles with Nomura, Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse, providing investment and capital markets advisory to global fund managers and sovereign mandates based in Asia.
She holds a CFA Certificate in ESG Investing, a Certificate in Family Office Management Strategy from HKU, and was the 2023 Women In Finance Asia award winner for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion.
At Endowus, she works with individuals, family offices, corporates and charities in achieving their wealth objectives through institutional asset allocation and managed investment solutions in helping to attain sustainable investment goals.
