About the speakers
Janet Hung, Executive Director, Nomura
Janet is on the Asia Prime Brokerage sales team at Nomura covering global hedge fund investors. She started her career at Credit Suisse and Lehman Brothers Asia with a background in ECM and Research Sales, providing deal access and ideas to Asian equity managers. Janet holds a CFA Certificate in ESG Investing, and was the 2023 Women In Finance Asia award winner for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion.
Wisely Ngai, CFA, Executive Director, CFA Society Hong Kong
Wisely is an Executive Director of the CFA Society Hong Kong. He works at the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) as a Vice President , responsible for external fund manager evaluations. Prior to joining HKEX, Wisely was a Vice President at Conning Asia Pacific Limited, managing the Fund of Funds business and the fund research team. Before that he has worked for several international financial institutions, focused on hedge fund research, due diligence and investment.
Wisely graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in Economics and Finance. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charterholders. Wisely serves as a mentor of the HKU Business School (Master Programmes) and is a Think Tank Convener of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG).
Michael Poon, CFA, Legal Counsel, Natixis Investment Managers
Michael Poon is a practising legal professional based in Hong Kong. He previously worked in investment banking in New York before returning to Hong Kong more than a decade ago. Currently, he is a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong specialising in asset management, investment funds and regulatory licensing, and has served as regional in-house legal counsel at leading local and international asset managers since 2019. Additionally, Michael is a CFA charterholder.
Mark Tian, Chief Agency Growth and Strategy Officer, Life & Health, Sun Life Hong Kong
Mark Tian was previously the Chief Financial officer, Wealth and Pensions, Sun Life International Hubs at Sun Life Financial, bringing experience from previous roles at Sun Life Financial. Mark is currently Chief Agency Growth and Strategy Officer, Life & Health at Sun Life Hong Kong, International HuBS. Mark holds an honours bachelor of science in Actuarial Science from the University of Toronto - Victoria University, and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Hong Kong.
Steffanie Yuen, Managing Director and Head of Hong Kong, Endowus
Steffanie Yuen is the Managing Director and Head of Hong Kong at Endowus, and is responsible for leading the firm’s business in the region.
Before joining Endowus, Steffanie was Managing Director at Value Partners and was responsible for leading the Group's Direct Distribution, Marketing, Communications and Investor Relations functions, as well as other key strategic growth initiatives. Prior to Value Partners, she was the Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Director at Alibaba's fintech affiliate Ant Group, where she was responsible for driving strategic collaborations and partnerships with international financial institutions and Ant's overseas e-wallet partners, which together serves over 1.2 billion annual active users globally.
Steffanie started her career in the investment banking divisions of Deutsche Bank and Barclays in Hong Kong and holds a BS in Finance and Accounting degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She is currently the Co-Chair of the WealthTech & InvestTech Committee of the Fintech Association of Hong Kong.
