About the speakers

John L. Bowman, CFA, CEO, CAIA Association

​John was appointed CEO for the CAIA Association in January 2025. He has devoted over 25 years to the asset management industry to recover the narrative of the value that the investment profession brings to society. He is a staunch public advocate for market integrity, long-termism, investor outcomes, diversity, human dignity and educational standards, as necessary ingredients to building a sustainable and healthy profession. John previously served as Managing Director for the Americas for CFA Institute, a region comprised of 40+ countries from Canada, the U.S., Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Before that, John was a portfolio manager for non-US equity strategies at both Boston Company and SSgA for several years. John is a prolific, speaker, writer and commentator, frequently keynoting industry conferences and appearing in investment and business publications such as the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Pension and Investments, Financial Advisor, The Independent, Wealthmanagement.com and CNBC. Bowman earned a BS in Business Administration from Mary Washington College and is a CFA charterholder.

​Nick Pollard, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, CAIA Association

​Nick Pollard is the Managing Director, Asia Pacific at CAIA Association. He is a seasoned leader with over 15 years of international finance experience in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Currently, he is helping drive CAIA Association’s expansion in this key market, leveraging his expertise in business development and his passion for training the next generation of finance professionals. Nick's career includes a successful seven-year tenure as Managing Director for the CFA Institute in APAC, where he worked closely with institutional partners, employers, universities, and regulators.

​Prior to joining the CFA Institute, Nick held senior leadership roles at The Royal Bank of Scotland’s Coutts Asia division, where he served as CEO, and later, as Head of International Learning and Professional Development for Coutts International. His career began with NatWest Group where he honed his skills in marketing and talent development.

​Nick has lived and worked in the APAC region for nearly two decades, positioning him at the forefront of the region's economic and demographic shifts. His deep understanding of the growing demand for private capital investments—particularly in infrastructure, real assets, private equity, venture capital, and private credit—makes him an invaluable asset to CAIA's efforts in APAC. He holds a B.A. from University College, London.

​Yingwen Chin, CAIA, Partner, Albourne Partners

​Yingwen joined Albourne in 2015 and is a Partner on the Asian private markets investment due diligence team focusing on Greater China and Pan-regional managers. Her experience spans across multiple alternative asset classes including hedge funds, private equity and venture capital. Prior to joining Albourne, Yingwen was the Head of Asia for funds research at Nutrimenta, a Swiss-based multi-family office, where she had responsibility for the firm’s hedge fund investments in the region.

​Yingwen is from the pioneer class of graduates from Singapore Management University where she obtained her Bachelor of Business Management. She has been a CAIA Charterholder since 2006.

​Theodore Shou, CAIA, CFA, Chief Investment Officer, Skybound Capital

​Qi Shou (Theodore) is Chief Investment Officer at Skybound Capital, a global alternative asset manager. He receives his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics from Shanghai International Studies University. He is a CFA charterholder and CAIA Charterholder.

​Theodore started his career lecturing economics in a university. Subsequently, he was working for HSBC, where he was mostly specialized in manager selection and portfolio construction. He was stationed in London, New York, Geneva and Hong Kong. In 2010, he helped to found a family office HGI Capital in Hong Kong and was in charge of managing a multi-asset portfolio there.In 2011, he joined Skybound Capital to build up its Asian business and oversee the group’s portfolios.

​Edwin Ho, CFA, CAIA, Senior Client Advisor, Hong Kong, Endowus

​Edwin Ho is Senior Client Advisor at Endowus. Prior to joining Endowus, he was a Fixed Income Product Specialist in DWS Group (formerly Deutsche Asset Management), and Investment Counsellor in HSBC Private Bank where he provided investment advisory service to high net worth clients. He graduated from The University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Economics and Finance. He is also a CAIA and CFA charter holder.

​Steffanie Yuen, Managing Director and Head of Hong Kong, Endowus

​Steffanie Yuen is the Managing Director and Head of Hong Kong at Endowus, one of the largest independent wealth platforms in Asia with over US$10 billion in assets under advice.

​Before joining Endowus, Steffanie was Managing Director at Value Partners, responsible for leading the Group's Direct Distribution, Marketing, Communications and Investor Relations functions, as well as other key strategic growth initiatives. Prior to Value Partners, she was the Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Director at Alibaba's fintech affiliate Ant Group, where she was responsible for driving strategic collaborations and partnerships with international financial institutions and Ant's overseas e-wallet partners, which together serve over 1.2 billion annual active users globally.

​Steffanie started her career in the investment banking divisions of Barclays and Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong and holds a BS in Finance and Accounting degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

​She was selected into the Financial Leaders Programme in 2023, organised by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and is currently a Board Director of the Fintech Association of Hong Kong.
