We are excited to share that Endowus is collaborating with US$125B+ global private equity giant HarbourVest to bring their Best-In-Class strategies onto our platform.

Our Co-Founder and CEO, Gregory Van will be hosting an exclusive in-person roundtable with Craig MacDonald, Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of HGPS and Martin Yung, Co-Head of Secondaries, APAC at HarbourVest on 8 July 2024 (Monday), 6:30PM, for our Professional Investor (PI) clients. 

During this session, we will explore Secondaries and Co-Investments as an asset class and the investment opportunities they present.

About the speakers

Craig MacDonald, Managing Director, Portfolio Manager of HarbourVest Global Private Solution, HarbourVest

Craig MacDonald joined HarbourVest in 2005 in Boston, transferring to London in 2009 and then Dublin in 2019 to serve as head of office. He focuses on originating, evaluating, and executing direct co-investments in growth equity and buyout transactions, primarily in Europe and has worked on investments including CallCredit, Finanzcheck, Flexera Software, Nordax, Photobox, and Xpressdocs.

Craig joined the Firm from Morgan Stanley in New York where he was an analyst focusing on consumer finance. Craig’s prior experience also includes investment banking analyst positions with Citigroup Global Markets in New York and London.

Craig received a BA in Political Science and Information Systems (with honors and distinction) from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar.

Martin Yung, Co-Head of Secondaries, APAC, HarbourVest

Martin Yung joined HarbourVest in 2014 and focuses on analyzing, structuring, and monitoring secondary private equity opportunities, including traditional and complex transactions.

Martin joined the Firm from Pomona Capital, where he was responsible for sourcing and executing secondary investments and monitoring the primary fund of funds program in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, he held a number of roles at Paul Capital and Lloyds Banking Group in London and Hong Kong.

Martin received a BSc in Mathematics from University of Warwick.

Gregory Van, Co-Founder and CEO, Endowus

Gregory Van is Co-Founder and CEO of Endowus. He began his career in investment banking at UBS, advising and fundraising for private equity and venture capital firms in the Asia Pacific region. He then joined Grab in its early days and was part of the pioneer team that launched the firm’s digital payments services across Southeast Asia.

Today, Greg is leveraging his unique expertise at the intersection of finance and technology to empower all investors with greater access to expert advice and institutional-quality products at low, fair fees – leveraging technology to do this at scale  

Greg has been awarded the “CEO of the Year” for the Singapore market at Asia Asset Management’s Best of the Best Awards 2023 for two consecutive years. He graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
