Wealth HER Way: Empowering Financial Independence by 100 Women in Finance x Endowus

According to the 2023 Endowus Wealth Insights Report, nearly 70% of surveyed female investors in Hong Kong expressed the desire to invest more, with the goal of ultimately attaining financial independence.

This International Women’s Day 2024, Endowus is excited to collaborate with 100 Women in Finance and 100WFintech for an empowering evening event.

About the speakers

Daisy Ho, Asia-Pacific CEO, Head of Sales Asia-Pacific and Institutional, HSBC Asset Management

Daisy joined HSBC Asset Management in November 2021 as CEO, Asia-Pacific and Hong Kong. Based in Hong Kong, she is responsible for leading and growing the asset management business in Asia-Pacific with a focus on driving the business expansion agenda across core markets including Hong Kong, mainland China, India and ASEAN.

Daisy is also Head of Sales Asia-Pacific and Institutional with responsibilities to develop and execute the growth strategy of the company’s Wholesale and Institutional businesses in Asia-Pacific including the retirement and pensions business. In this role, she also oversees the Global Capabilities of the Institutional business such as liquidity sales, global consultant relationships, institutional business sales support and client business management.

A seasoned professional and veteran in financial services, Daisy has over 20 years of experience in the asset management industry. Prior to joining HSBC Asset Management, she spent 16 years with Fidelity International assuming a number of senior management roles including President for China and Managing Director, Asia ex-Japan & Middle East. Before that, she held various senior positions in the wealth management and asset management divisions of JPMorgan, AXA and Hang Seng Bank.

Daisy holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from The University of Western Ontario.

Brenda Hou, Head, Global Partnerships & Client Solutions, Growth Markets, CFA Institute

As the Head, Global Partnerships & Client Solutions, Growth Markets, Brenda leads the team responsible for delivering global revenue targets for a portfolio of learning products targeted at investment management professionals. Brenda is a member of the senior management team in APAC, collaborating with cross-functional teams regionally and globally.

Brenda brings over 25 years of experience in business development to the role, with deep experience in change management and organisational transformation. Prior to joining CFA Institute, she spent over eight years to lead the global and APAC strategy development and planning in Electrocomponents, the world’s largest distributors of electronics and maintenance products. Her investment professional career started since 2000 when she led the investment team to conduct merger and acquisition deals in the region, followed by leading an IPO project in HK.

She received her CFA Charter in 2002 and Certification of ESG Investing in 2022. She is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA), Graduate of Australian Institute of Director (GAICD) and has a Bachelor degree of Business Administration (Finance) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Yvonne Leung, CEO, Ant Bank

Yvonne joined Ant Bank in 2019 and is currently CEO. Prior to that, she previously worked at Hang Seng Bank as the Head of Business Banking Portfolio Managed. Yvonne is a graduate from The University of British Columbia and obtained her M.B.A. at the University of Leicester.

Taosha Wang, Portfolio Manager, Fidelity and Author of “Techonomics You Should Know”

Taosha Wang is a Lead Portfolio Manager at Fidelity. In her investment portfolios, she focuses on capturing thematic growth throughout macroeconomic cycles and invests globally across asset classes.

Prior to joining Fidelity in 2021, Taosha worked at PIMCO as a Senior Vice President and was part of the working team to receive the prestigious Morningstar Fund Manager of the Year award. She was previously a management consultant at McKinsey, a research analyst at Goldman Sachs and an investment banker at Credit Suisse, now part of UBS Group.

Taosha is a published author and a frequent public speaker. Her debut book, Techonomics You Should Know: Life-Changing Economics of Disruptive Technologies, is a #1 bestseller in Microeconomics on Amazon.com. She is regularly quoted by leading publications including Bloomberg and Reuters.  She is a columnist and a featured guest on podcasts.  

Taosha received her B.A. in Economics from Brown University and an executive MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management in the United States. She is a board member of the Brown University Alumni Association in Hong Kong.
