About the speakers

Samuel Rhee, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer, Endowus

Samuel Rhee is Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Endowus, Asia’s leading digital wealth platform, and is a co-founder of the company. He is the former CEO and CIO of Morgan Stanley Investment Management in Asia, with three decades of institutional investing experience in Singapore, Hong Kong, and London.

Jonathan Curtis, Senior Vice-President, Portfolio Manager, Franklin Templeton

Jonathan Curtis is a senior vice president and director of portfolio management of Franklin Equity Group (FEG). As director of portfolio management, Jonathan oversees FEG's US-focused and sector strategy portfolio management and risk teams. He is also the lead portfolio manager of the Franklin Technology Strategy and heads FEG's Technology and Communications Research Team. He has been active in the tech sector for more than 30 years, first as a software development and integration test engineer and now as an investor. Jonathan joined the Franklin Equity Group in 2008 as an equity analyst covering the IT hardware and communications equipment sectors and now covers the enterprise infrastructure software, IT hardware, and IT supply chain sectors.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Jonathan spent four years on the sell side researching the communications equipment sector. Before transitioning to the financial services industry, he was a software and systems engineer in the communications equipment sector.

Jonathan holds an M.B.A. from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

Matthew Cioppa, Vice-President, Portfolio Manager, Franklin Templeton

Matthew Cioppa is a Vice-President with the Franklin Equity Group. He works on the technology team, with his primary research focus on application & security software, IT services, and data centres. Matthew is also a co-portfolio manager of the Franklin Technology Strategy.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton Investments in 2015, Matthew was an equity research associate at Susquehanna International Group, covering the media and entertainment industry.

Matthew holds a M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in finance from Providence College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
