Jamie Lee, former Deputy News Editor at The Business Times joins Endowus to oversee finlit content strategy and execution

Endowus, Singapore’s leading digital wealth platform has appointed Jamie Lee as its Head of Editorial and Content, as the wealthtech startup deepens its commitment to improve financial literacy (finlit) to benefit more investors in Singapore and other markets.

Jamie brings with her about 14 years of experience in business and finance reporting in Singapore and neighbouring countries. As Head of Editorial and Content, Jamie will translate her expertise in crafting timely, informative and engaging stories in the newsroom into driving content strategy for Endowus, with a focus on improving finlit of its clients and the broader investing community.

Prior to Endowus, Jamie was the Deputy News Editor at the Business Times, where she covered the banking and finance beat, looking closely at personal finance, wealth trends and the financial markets. She had led her banking and finance team to be among the first in charting the development of fintech in Singapore – including digital banks and the wealthtech industry. She concurrently oversaw coverage on the property market, tracking the intersection of finance, hard assets and economic forces.

Jamie said, "I'm delighted to join the Endowus team to help to make personal finance accessible to as many as possible in Asia. I’m looking forward to partnering like-minded individuals in improving financial literacy and bringing best-in-class investment products to the masses to help grow their wealth for a good retirement."

Some of Jamie’s notable achievements include receiving the prestigious scholarship from the Foreign Press Association of New York, as well as winning various journalism accolades including the financial journalist of the year award from the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) in 2010 and 2017 and the Singapore Press Holdings’ Journalist of the Year award in 2018.

“Endowus is excited to have Jamie join our family as we enter our next growth stage. We trust that her expertise in financial journalism will greatly augment our ability to impart robust and useful finlit content to investors from different backgrounds, and play a critical role in bringing our mission of democratising investing to life,” said Endowus’ Chief Marketing Officer, Jason Huan.
