Terms & Conditions of Endowus “Year End Promotion”
1. This promotion is organised by ENDOW.US Pte Ltd. (“Endowus”). Each participant is solely responsible for ensuring that participating in this promotion is not illegal or prohibited by the laws or regulations of any country relevant or applicable to the participant.
Endowus reserves the right to not allow participation by any person, at its discretion.
Endowus reserves the right to disqualify an otherwise eligible person from receiving the incentive in the event that Endowus, in its absolute discretion, believes that the particular person may have contravened, will contravene or has contravened any of these terms and conditions and/or may bring Endowus into disrepute.
Who is eligible?
2. The promotion is only valid for the clients who (i) received the promotional message and (ii) have successfully registered via the promotional link or via submission of onboarding documents. Endowus shall have absolute discretion to decide on the eligibility for participation in the promotion.
“Promotion Period” begins from 00:00 on 15 November 2021 to 23:59 on 15 December 2021, unless Endowus exercises its rights under paragraph 10 below.
What do I need to do to participate in the promotion
3. If you already have a trust account opened with UOB Kay Hian through Endowus, you must register your participation via the promotional link, and make a Qualifying Investment (see reward tiers in paragraph 4) within the Promotion Period.
Qualifying Investment can be made using Cash and/or SRS. CPF-OA investments do not qualify for this promotion. Qualifying investments can be made in a single transaction or across multiple transactions. Reward tier will be based on the total investment amount during the promotion period.
Please note that investment order cutoff times are 12.30pm on a valid business day for cash investments and 8.30am on a valid business day for SRS investments. Investment orders made after these times on 15 December will not be considered funded and will therefore not qualify for this promotion.
If you have not opened a trust account opened with UOB Kay Hian through Endowus, submission of your outstanding onboarding documents automatically registers your participation, and make a Qualifying Investment (see reward tiers in paragraph 4) within the Promotion Period.
When and what do I get from the promotion?
4. Based on the amount of your Qualifying Investment, you will receive a cash reward according to the tiers set out below. This cash reward will be distributed to your Endowus account by 31 January 2022.
The cash reward will be granted in the form of an investment into Cash Smart Core with a minimum 12 month holding period from Date of Issuance (by 31 January 2022). To process the investment, Endowus will create a Cash Smart Core Goal on your behalf. The number of units granted will be determined by the net asset value of each unit at the time the cash reward is processed. For clarity, the date of issuance for the purposes of the holding period will be the date the investment is made.
Please note: Cash Smart is an investment product. It is not a bank deposit, and is subject to investment risks, including the possible loss of the principal amount invested. Investment products are not insured products under the provisions of the Deposit Insurance and Policy Owners Protection Schemes Act 2011 of Singapore and are not eligible for deposit insurance coverage under the Deposit Insurance Scheme. Accordingly, the value of your cash award may fluctuate and may fall below the original value. Endowus makes no representations or guarantees as to the value of the cash reward.
Endowus reserves the right to claw back any cash reward if a participant is found to withdraw his/her investment during the required 12-month holding period.
What else do I need to know?
5. Endowus accepts no responsibility for accounts not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
6. Endowus also reserves the right to decline new client sign ups that do not meet our customer due diligence and client suitability requirements.
7. Endowus reserves the right to disqualify any participant that is suspected of any fraudulent activity such as, but not limited to, creation of fake accounts.
8. The decision of Endowus regarding any aspect of the promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
9. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. Endowus reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
10. Endowus reserves the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions (in whole or in part) at any time without prior notification to participants. Please contact support@endowus.com if you believe you qualified for this promotion but it has not been awarded to you as a result of this early suspension or termination. Events beyond the control of Endowus may occur that render the awarding of the promotion impossible. Accordingly, Endowus will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered, as a result of an event outside of its control.
11. By entering the promotion, participants agree and acknowledge that all personal data submitted may be collected, processed, stored, disclosed or otherwise used by Endowus and its affiliates for the purposes of conducting and administering the promotion and is subject to Endowus’ Privacy Policy and Endowus’ Terms, Conditions & Disclosures. Participants consent to and authorize Endowus to use at its sole discretion, without further compensation to the participants, any of their names, addresses, personal details, photographs, videotapes or any likeness of them for packaging, promotional, advertising, marketing and/or publicity purposes (where not prohibited by written law).
12. To the extent permitted by law, these Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall exclusively be submitted to and dealt with by the competent court in Singapore.
