In recent years, global equity portfolios have become increasingly concentrated in a narrow group of high-growth, technology-driven companies. The "Magnificent Seven" has grown from around 12% of the S&P 500 in 2015 to nearly one-third of the index as of March 2026, while the U.S. equity market now accounts for more than 60% of global market capitalization. While these names have boosted returns tangibly, this concentration raises questions about the lack of diversification and portfolio resilience amid heightened market volatility.
Join us for our upcoming webinar hosted by our CIO, Hugh Chung, together with Jason Teo, Vice President from UOBAM and Jeremy H. Butterworth, CFA Investment Strategist from Wellington where they will explore how investors can build more balanced equity allocations focused on durable, global, and resilient businesses often overlooked by popular, but overcrowded, growth strategies.
