We're pleased to have distinguished speakers from Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) joining us for the evening. As one of the largest global infrastructure investors, Macquarie manages over US$200 billion in assets. Ilias Benjelloun, Senior Vice President of Macquarie Infrastructure Fund (MIF) Portfolio Strategy Team will discuss the fundamentals of private infrastructure investing, key secular investment themes, its appeal to investors and potential to enhance overall portfolio diversification and performance.Â
The session will be moderated by Yuhan Tan, Senior Investment Lead at Endowus. We will also be joined by Reina Nakagaki, Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager â Client Solutions Group, Greater China and Southeast Asia, who will introduce the Macquarie franchise, which has over 30 years of experience investing in over 300 infrastructure assets.
About the Speakers
Ilias Benjelloun, Senior Vice President â Macquarie Infrastructure Fund (MIF) Portfolio Strategy Team, Macquarie Asset Management
Ilias is a Senior Vice President at Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) and leads the Portfolio Strategy team of the Macquarie Infrastructure Fund (MIF).Â
âSince joining Macquarie in 2010, he has played a pivotal role in investment and asset management within MAMâs infrastructure funds business. Throughout his tenure, Ilias has held senior roles in London and Sydney, focusing on utility, transportation, digital, green energy, and waste infrastructure investment opportunities. During his time in Sydney, he gained extensive experience in the power grid sector, holding board positions across two distribution and transmission businesses in New South Wales and South Australia.Â
âIlias holds a Bachelor of Science in international business from Maastricht University and a Master of Science in finance from EDHEC Business School.
âReina Nakagaki, Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager â Client Solutions Group, Greater China and Southeast Asiaâ
Reina is a Senior Vice President in the Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) Client Solutions Group. She is currently responsible for business development and coverage of investors and consultants based in Southeast Asia.
Reina originally joined Macquarie in Japan and was responsible for business development with Japanese institutional investors and consultants. She became a Head of Client services in 2015, leading existing investor relationships and cross-selling activities. Reina has also successfully expanded MAMâs client base and raised new capital for a wide range of strategies, including equities, fixed income, hedge funds, and infrastructure from Japanese institutional clients as well as intermediary channels. She relocated to Singapore in 2018.
Prior to joining Macquarie, Reina spent eight years at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. She held several roles within wholesale/intermediary sales, institutional sales, and consultant relations. Reina also served as a Product Specialist for the APAC equity team, where she was responsible for fund raising and product structuring for global institutional investors as well as wholesale channels.
Reina holds a Bachelor of Arts in environmental law from Sophia University and is a Certified Member Analyst of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
Yuhan Tan, Senior Investment Lead, Endowus
Yuhan Tan is responsible for the sourcing and screening of alternative strategies, along with other functions of the Endowus Investment Office. Yuhan was previously at Mercer and Cambridge Associates, two investment consulting firms that provide investment portfolio management and advisory services to institutional investors. Yuhan was also with Hawksburn Capital, a multi-family office that provides investment advisory services to high-net-worth individuals.Â
Yuhan graduated from Singapore Management University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
